Scouting Report: (7/3/2019) Broderick Jones possesses very good height with good bulk and a big lengthy frame that looks capable of supporting more good mass with further physical development. Broderick flashes good natural strength and is an elite athlete for size. There are players who are more seasoned at this point in their career but he has more upside of any offensive tackle in the 2020 class.

In pass protection, Broderick presents a tough obstacle for pass rushers to try and navigate around with his massive frame and long arms. He has very good initial quickness and flashes a good punch and good balance and lateral mobility to keep defenders in front of him once he gets locked on. Broderick needs to become more consistent with his pad level and work to better sink his hips but can play with wide base and flashes ability to reset feet and slow power rushers.

As a run blocker, Broderick demonstrates the ability to come out of stance low, deliver a nice initial pop and gain leverage. When he gets locked on he is near impossible to beat one-on-one and when he drives his legs he drives the defender back several yards. He can move and redirect well in tight areas. Needs to continue to improve angles, but flashes good range as run blocker and the ability to stay with and finish blocks.

You could nitpick little things that Broderick needs to improve on but the bottom line is that he will develop to a 1st round draft pick under Sam Pittman. He is a special talent that will anchor the UGA line for multiple years.
