Scouting Report: (6/14/2019) Daniel possesses a nice blend of height and bulk with a leaner, lengthy frame that can continue to be developed with time in a college weight program. He is currently 250 pounds but could potentially add another 30 pounds of good mass.
He has a quick first step and uses his hands well to stack and shed and has the speed to move down the line or get after the quarterback. He moves very well laterally and has the speed and effort to make plays from the backside. Daniel is a strong tackler who explodes on contact. He has a relentless motor and fights through the whistle.
Against the run, Daniel displays the ability to fire out with good pad level and can deliver a good pop and hold ground when he does. Displays good discipline and will play responsibility with adequate lateral mobility to squeeze and take away cut back lanes. Needs to build to top speed but makes up for it with relentless effort.
Most recruiting services have Daniel as a three-star but I think most are overlooking the fact that he is a full year younger than most players in the 2020 class. He is just scratching the surface of how good he can be. He showed the inconsistencies you expect out of 16-year old last season. However, he showed flashes of the player he will become.
