Scouting Report: (3/8/2020) Tyler Bence possesses a nice blend of height and bulk that can continue to be developed with time in a college weight program. He is currently 273 pounds but could potentially add another 15 pounds of good mass or reshape his body and move to defensive end.

He has a quick first step and uses his hands well to stack and shed and has the speed to move down the line or get after the quarterback. He moves very well laterally and has the speed and effort to make plays from the backside. Daniel is a strong tackler who explodes on contact. He has a relentless motor and fights through the whistle.

Against the run, Tyler displays the ability to fire out with good pad level and can deliver a good pop and hold ground when he does. He needs to become more consistent in this area but displays good discipline and will play responsibility with adequate lateral mobility to squeeze and take away cut back lanes. Needs to build to top speed but makes up for it with relentless effort.

He is just scratching the surface of how good he can be. Once he becomes more consistent with pad level, he will shoot up the rankings.
